Dwayne Douglas Johnson was born on May 2, 1972, in Hayward, California. His mother, Ata Maivia, was a wrestler’s daughter, and his father, Rocky Johnson, was a professional wrestler.

His mother is Samoan, while his father is Black Nova Scotian, which accounts for his unusual appearance.

Before moving back to the United States and enrolling at Freedom High School, he briefly resided in New Zealand, where he attended Richmond Road Primary School.

Growing up, he was naturally athletic and had a strong interest in sports. He was an active teenager who took part in a variety of sports. In addition to being a member of the school’s track and field and wrestling teams, he also played football.

Football was his favorite sport, and the University of Miami offered him a full scholarship to play defensive lineman due to his promising football career. But an injury ended his hopes of playing football.

Eventually, he adopted the ring name “The Rock” and became a well-known and accomplished professional wrestler who had won multiple titles.

He became immensely popular among female fans due to his wrestling prowess and rugged good looks, and soon he began getting offers to perform on both the big and small screens.

In 2000, he returned to hosting “Saturday Night Live” after starring in a music video.

In the opening scene of the 2001 movie “The Mummy Returns,” he made his screen debut as The Scorpion King.
