Two weeks after finishing his finals at Paarl Boys’ High, Sean-Marco walked onto his first feature film, Lyfstraf, as a minor character named Dietmar.After filming, he went to AFDA, the South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance, to learn how to play.
After two years of acting for film, he chose to study directing and writing scripts to learn more about the film form.
After being in a few AFDA short films and showing what a wide range of characters he could play, he got the part of young Russouw in Die Windpomp, Etienne Fourie’s fourth-year film. After getting a lot of attention, Zen HQ Films bought the film, and work on the feature film began.
After making his AFDA graduation film, Sean-Marco went back to work on his second feature film, Die Windpomp, in which he would now play the bad guy.
In 2014, he helped host the SABC3 leisure and magazine show NAweek, which was in Afrikaans.
